Programs and initiatives supported by Scenic City Angel are facilitated by community leaders or entrepreneurs who have a commitment to community service that is strategically aligned with SCA’s mission and goals. Our programs and initiatives are held at community centers, schools, libraries, and in economically disadvantaged communities. SCA works with community leaders and youth to develop curriculum, mentorships, and programming. SCA also helps emerging non- profits with startup costs and guidance until sponsored project leaders are able to create greater stability within their organization.

SCA invests in grassroots leaders serving economically disadvantaged communities so they can transform their lives and the lives of those around them. While we will always strive to help people who have fallen on hard times, we also invest in a community’s social infrastructure, individual growth and leadership development, such as our arts, culture, and sports programs at Emma Wheeler Homes. This aspect of SCA focuses on outcomes, rather than inputs or outputs; and is based on seeing those we serve as assets rather than needy individuals.
